What you will be doing!

As a Splunk Software Engineer at Level 2, you will be responsible for conducting research, development, and engineering services in cloud software. Your duties will include requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.

Job Description / Requirements: 
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems, such as processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems based on documented requirements.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to review and test software components for adherence to design requirements, document test results, and resolve software problem reports.
  • Utilize appropriate software development and software design methodologies for the development environment, providing specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) solutions, and requirements analysis and synthesis.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals and contribute to a productive and innovative work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience building large platforms by integrating open-source or commercial software with automation scripting.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and developing applications in a Linux operating environment.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Experience deploying applications to container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
Education and Experience:
  • Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.  
Clearance Required:   Must possess an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph security clearance to be considered for this role
