What You Will Do:
As a Cryptologic Computer Scientist, Level 2 at Independent Software, you will apply computer science, programming, and analytical skills to support SIGDEV, CNE, and access discovery and enablement activities. You will develop automation and analytical solutions to support complex mission requirements.
In this role, you will work with XKS and DX and use Python and Jupyter Notebooks to develop scripts, automate workflows, and support technical analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support SIGDEV, CNE, and access discovery and enablement activities
- Work with XKS and DX to support mission requirements
- Develop Python scripts and automation for technical and analytical workflows
- Create and maintain Jupyter Notebooks for analysis and repeatable processes
- Develop software, scripts, and tools to support mission activities
- Analyze and process technical data to identify relevant patterns and information
- Apply computer science and software development principles to complex technical problems
- Document technical approaches, analytical methods, and findings
- Collaborate with technical and mission teams to support operational objectives
Required Skills and Qualifications: - Experience supporting SIGDEV, CNE, access discovery, and/or access enablement activities
- Experience working with XKS and DX
- Proficiency with Python programming and scripting
- Experience developing automation solutions using Python
- Experience working with Jupyter Notebooks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop technical solutions to complex mission problems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical environment

- DNI
- Collection
- TechSIGINT
- Previous experience as a DNEA or TDNA
- TAR or serialized reporting
Education and Experience:
Candidates must meet one of the following: - Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience; OR
- Master’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience; OR
- Doctoral degree plus two (2) years of relevant experience; OR
- Associate’s degree plus seven (7) years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience clearly related to the position
Degree must be in Computer Science.
Related fields, such as Engineering or Mathematics, may be considered when the degree program includes a concentration of coursework in foundational Computer Science areas, including: - Algorithms
- Computer architecture (not network architecture)
- Programming methodologies and languages
- Data structures
- Logic and computation
- Advanced mathematics, such as calculus and discrete mathematics
Information Technology (IT) or Information Systems (IS) degrees may be considered when the program contains coursework equivalent in amount and type to a Computer Science major.
Relevant experience must be in one or more of the following: - Computer systems research
- Simulation/model development and prototyping
- Software design
- Programming
- Computational science
- Algorithm analysis and design
- Reverse engineering
- Designing or developing computer or information systems, including hardware and/or software engineering
Clearance Requirement: - Must possess an active TS/SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
