As a Level 3 Administrative Specialist with Independent Software, you will provide high-level administrative, technical writing, and document management support to ensure the successful development and delivery of official communications, briefings, and contract deliverables. You’ll help maintain documentation quality, support project tracking, and assist in coordinating complex task requirements across teams.
This position gives you the opportunity to work on mission-critical projects while honing your skills in technical documentation, process tracking, and internal communication. You’ll collaborate closely with program managers, technical teams, and leadership—contributing directly to contract success and strategic communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical writing, editing, and proofreading support for reports, briefings, and official communications
Integrate content from multiple sources into cohesive and high-quality documents or presentations
Prepare narrative and graphical presentation materials for management plans, reports, and deliverables
Support development of contract deliverables by preparing computer-based manuscripts and media
Draft, format, and submit Staff Processing Forms (SPFs), and track them through completion
Coordinate and track task order and deliverable requirements across stakeholders
Maintain and update organizational briefings and presentation materials
Perform functional or program area analysis to support management and technical decision-making
Draft official memoranda, route documents for signatures, and track their status
Ensure adherence to formatting, content, and delivery standards in all materials
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong writing, editing, and technical communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe tools
Experience in creating presentations, management reports, and contract documentation
Knowledge of formatting standards for federal or DoD documents
Ability to track and manage multiple document workflows simultaneously
Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail
Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
Education and Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in a related administrative, business, or communication role is required
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
In lieu of a bachelor's degree:
An associate’s degree plus an additional two (2) years of relevant experience may be substituted
A high school diploma or GED plus an additional four (4) years of relevant experience may also be substituted
Clearance Requirement:
Must possess an active TS/SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
