Restore System Administrator
What You Will Do:
As a Restore System Administrator, Level 2 you will support enterprise data backup and restoration operations within a mission-critical data center environment. You’ll assist customers with recovering files, profiles, and mailboxes using industry-standard backup software, while also maintaining optimal file management and permission structures. This role plays a key part in ensuring data integrity and continuity for secure systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform file, profile, and mailbox restorations using NetBackup, Avamar, and Commvault backup solutions.
- Facilitate tape handling operations within a physical data center environment to enable successful restores.
- Assist users with best practices in file management, profile standards, and email organization.
- Maintain and troubleshoot profile and permission structures across systems.
- Manage incident and service request tickets in alignment with SLAs.
- Communicate with end users and technical teams to resolve restore-related issues effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience restoring user data (files, profiles, mailboxes) with backup tools such as NetBackup, Avamar, and Commvault.
- Strong understanding of file management and permission structures.
- Familiarity with user profile standards and email organization practices.
- Experience working within a ticketing system to track and resolve issues within SLA timelines.
- Ability to work on-site in a data center environment (including physical tape handling).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must be able to work shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, depending on operational need b
Education and Experience:
Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED and 15+ years of relevant IT experience
OR - Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10+ years of relevant IT experience
Certifications:
- DoD 8570 IAT Level I or higher is required.
Clearance Requirement:
- Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance to be considered for this role.
