Web Developer, Level 1
What You Will Do:
As a Web Developer with Independent Software, you will support the development and maintenance of secure, cloud-native applications leveraging modern DevOps and serverless technologies. You will contribute to designing scalable infrastructure, building AWS-based solutions, and ensuring high-quality code and documentation to support mission-critical platforms. Working within an Agile environment, you will collaborate closely with engineers, DevOps specialists, and stakeholders to deliver innovative, reliable, and efficient software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development and execution of test procedures for software component
- Generate, review, and maintain technical and software documentation
- Ensure quality control for all developed and modified software solutions
- Contribute to Agile software development processes and ceremonies
- Collaborate with team members using Jira and Confluence for task tracking and documentation
- Develop and maintain applications using modern programming languages and framework
- Experience supporting the development and testing of software components
- Proficiency in reviewing and producing technical documentation
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment
- Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Strong understanding of software quality assurance and control practices
- Hands-on development experience with:
- React
- Java
- CGI
- Visual Basic
- HTML
- XML
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Apache NiFi
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Web Developer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- An additional four (4) years of Web Developer experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Must possess an active TS/SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
